Craig Commits to Williston State College
The Ontario Nationals are pleased to announce James Craig’s commitment to Williston State College (NJCAA DII). Craig, a first baseman from Exeter, ON, joined the Nationals in the fall of 2019 for his 14U season and has been a positive force within the organization ever since.
James was drawn to the Nationals after being noticed at another tryout. “They were the first CPBL team to believe in my potential, which is what initially drew my interest,” he shared. Over the years, James has exemplified the Nationals’ values of hard work, dedication, and teamwork.
For James, baseball is at its best during high-energy, competitive games. “I love the feeling of being in a close and competitive game against a rival team. Especially when every player on the team is up off the bench and the dugout is full of energy,” he explained. This passion for the game has fueled his drive to grow as a player and as a teammate.
Known as a hardworking and spirited individual, James is often described as more than just a teammate—he’s a friend both on and off the field. His teammates and coaches appreciate his fun, good-spirited nature and the energy he brings to every game, whether it’s with his performance on the field or his enthusiastic and vocal support from the bench. James is also the type of player who picks his teammates up when they’re down, ensuring the entire team stays motivated and focused. Parents and peers alike value his positive attitude, genuine love for the sport, and the encouragement he consistently provides to those around him.
James’s decision to commit to Williston State College was influenced by the program’s strong reputation and the enthusiasm of Coach Mason Przybilla. “Their coach seemed genuinely excited to offer me a spot on their fall 2025 roster,” James said. “Their fantastic track record of helping players move on to four-year programs after their sophomore year made the decision a no-brainer.”
As James Craig heads to Williston State College, the Ontario Nationals extend their congratulations and best wishes for his continued success. The Nationals are proud to have been a part of James’s journey and look forward to seeing him excel in this next chapter.
