Gammage Going to USC Sumter
The Ontario Nationals would like to congratulate Quinn Gammage (IF) of Cambridge, ON on his commitment to University of South Carolina - Sumter (NJCAA D1).
Gammage joined the Nationals just recently in 2022. When asked what made him decide to join the Nationals at this point in his baseball career, Gammage replied, “It always has been a dream of mine to play college baseball, further my baseball career, and reach the next level. I felt that the Nationals program gave me the best opportunity to do that.”
For Gammage, his love of baseball is rooted in the personal. He loves the bond formed with teammates, both on and off the field. He also loves the opportunities for personal growth that baseball offers as it provides a “constant opportunity to get better and improve.” A driven and hardworking player, Gammage is also very coachable and welcomes feedback from his coaches so he can use it to get better.
Gammage first was drawn to USC Sumter when he visited the campus on the Nationals Fall College Tour. He was impressed by the field at Riley Park, as well as the coaching staff and their combined knowledge. Gammage plans to make the most of his time at USC Sumter and hopes to move on a 4-year school after he is done there.
Congratulations to Quinn and his family on this commitment. We look forward to following him on the next steps of his baseball journey!
