Heculuck Headed to Roane State
The Ontario Nationals Baseball Club is pleased to announce that Jackson Heculuck (LHP) of St. Catharines, ON has committed to the Roane State Community College (NJCAA D1).
Heculuck joined the Ontario Nationals program starting in his 16U season when he moved back to Ontario from Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. He said that he chose the Nationals program because it seemed like the best program to help him develop into a player that could compete at the highest level possible.
Heculuck has a positive attitude and doesn’t give up easily. His friends and family would describe him as tenacious and hardworking, but they would also tell you he has a lighter side and is kind-hearted and fun to be around.
Roane State seemed like a natural fit for Heculuck from the moment he arrived. “From the minute we stepped on campus at Roane, I felt at home. The players and coaching staff were welcoming, and I could feel from the get-go that Coach Cam not only embodied the type of person I wanted to play for, but we also clicked instantly,” Heculuck said. He says he’s most looking forward to playing for a coach who wants the team to succeed and will do whatever he can to get them there.
Congratulations to Jackson and his family on this commitment. We look forward to following him on the next steps in his baseball journey!
