Howard commits to Frank Phillips College

While the final games of the fall season are behind us and we transition to indoor workouts, it's still an exciting time around the Ontario Nationals organization as some of our players begin to find which college they will head to once their time with the Nats is up.

The first step in that process began this weekend when 18U catcher Dylan Howard committed to Frank Phillips College, a DI junior college in Borger, Texas.

Howard has been a big part of the Nationals program for the past three seasons and the 5-foot-11, 190-pounder has shown himself to be a workhorse behind the dish.

He win join the Plainsmen program that competes in one of the most competitive junior college regions in the nation with the league taking home six national championships in the past 13 years.

Not only do the Plainsmen compete against some of the best programs but they have also shown the ability to move players on to the professional level with 14 players selected in the past 13 MLB Drafts.

The Plainsmen have a history with players north of the border as four roster spots last year were occupied by Canadians.
