Mackey Commits to St. Clair County CC
The Ontario Nationals are pleased to announce Brady Mackey's commitment to St. Clair County Community College in Michigan (NJCAA DII). Mackey, a shortstop from Woodstock, joined the Nationals in September 2023, bringing his skills and dedication to the team.
Mackey's decision to join the Nationals was driven by his ambition to play higher-level baseball and increase his chances of securing a college opportunity.
For Mackey, the thrill of baseball lies in the game’s dynamic and fast-paced nature. When asked what he loved most about playing ball, he answered succinctly with “stealing bases.”
Mackey is a valued teammate both on and off the field. "Quiet, friendly, fun to be around," are the words that parents, friends, coaches, and teammates would use to describe him, reflecting the positive impact he has had on the team.
When asked what drew him to St. Clair County Community College, Mackey said he was influenced by several key factors that would help ensure his success both athletically and academically. The factors that most influenced his decision include the college’s criminology course, the welcoming coaching staff, and the supportive player community.
As Brady Mackey prepares to start this exciting new chapter at St. Clair County Community College, the Ontario Nationals extend their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for his continued success both on the field and in his academic pursuits.
