Manley Commits to Vancouver Island

The Ontario Nationals are pleased to announce the commitment of James Manley to Vancouver Island University (CCBC).

Although James joined the Nationals for just one season, his impact and development within the program were immediate. Surrounded by a competitive environment and a culture focused on growth, he embraced every opportunity to improve both on and off the field.

“The Ontario Nationals are definitely a well-run, well-organized program. The culture is one of development and character building. The focus of the coaches is developing a player to the best of their ability, tailoring their training to the individual needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.”

Being part of a driven group of athletes helped push James forward, creating an environment where accountability, competition, and support all worked hand in hand.

“My teammates and other players within the Nationals organization are just as driven to succeed. Being in a room, a bus, or on the field with so many like-minded individuals makes all the difference. It makes it easy to show up and show out, especially when it matters most, knowing you have your teammates and coaches behind you.”

Even in a short period of time, James saw meaningful growth within the program.

“I only joined the Nats organization this last year, and the development I’ve made so far is amazing, far surpassing any organization I’ve been a part of previously.”

Looking ahead, James is excited to continue his journey at the collegiate level with Vancouver Island University.

“I committed to Vancouver Island University because of their high academic standing and proven track record of producing athletes who can perform at the highest level. I’m excited to experience university baseball and see where the game can take me.”

This opportunity is well deserved, and we look forward to watching James continue to grow and compete in the next chapter of his baseball career.

Go Nats.
