Mathews Heading to Frontier

The Ontario Nationals are excited to announce the collegiate commitment of Braxton Mathews, a left-handed pitcher from Kitchener, Ontario. Mathews is poised to take his baseball journey to the next level with Frontier Community College (NJCAA D1).

Mathews' journey with the Nationals began in the fall of 2022. When asked about his decision to join the Nationals organization, Mathews articulated his desire to further his baseball career and gain valuable experience at a higher level of the sport.

For Mathews, baseball is more than just a game. When asked what he loves most about baseball, he remarked, "My favorite parts about baseball are the challenges of the game, the friends I have made over the years, the experiences, and the fun I have had with the sport."

Coaches recognize his remarkable traits as being goal-driven, determined, and highly focused. Friends who know him best describe him as funny and loyal, qualities that make him a cherished companion. Mathews' unwavering commitment to achieving his objectives is a testament to his character.
