McEwan Commits to St. Clair College
The Ontario Nationals are pleased to announce Quinn McEwan’s commitment to St. Clair College (OCAA). McEwan, a catcher from Guelph, ON, joined the Nationals only recently, in the fall of 2024.
Quinn chose to make the move to the Nationals to take advantage of the coaching staff’s expertise and the opportunities within the organization. “I wanted to take my skills to the next level and compete in Ontario’s most competitive league,” he shared. Since joining, his easy-going, friendly, and optimistic personality has made him a positive presence for his team.
When asked what he loves most about baseball, Quinn’s response perfectly captured the spirit of someone who sees the game from behind the dish: “The thing I love most about baseball is the grind that comes with it. The late winter nights when you don’t want to show up or the hot summer days that feel almost impossible to compete in—it’s always a grind, but it’s very rewarding as well,” he explained. His passion for the game and his strong work ethic have made him a valued teammate.
St. Clair College was a clear choice for Quinn, offering the right balance of athletics and academics. “St. Clair College just checks off all my boxes, as an athlete but also as a student,” he said. “The coaching staff at St. Clair are knowledgeable and know how to run a baseball program. The campus itself is very nice and it’s on the smaller side, which is more up my alley.” Quinn is excited to join a program that made him feel welcomed from day one.
Quinn also expressed gratitude for all the help and support he has received throughout his baseball journey—from the Nationals organization, as well as from his family and all the coaches and mentors he has had along the way.
As Quinn McEwan prepares to take the next step in his academic and athletic journey, the Ontario Nationals extend their congratulations and best wishes for his continued success.
