Open Tryouts Announced

Update: Thank you for those who attended our two tryout sessions. If you missed our tryouts and are interested in submitting an application to join the Ontario Nationals, please submit an application with video using our online recruiting form. 

For the first time in several years, we at the Ontario Nationals Baseball Club is extending an open invitation for 2006-2012 born players to try out for the 2024-2025 season. This initiative marks a pivotal expansion in our efforts to cultivate and nurture young talent across Ontario, and we're excited to share this opportunity with the baseball community.

The decision to reintroduce open tryouts, particularly with the addition of the 13U division, reflects our ongoing commitment to baseball excellence and youth development. The tryouts are not just about selecting new members for our team; they're about discovering passionate players who aspire to grow and excel in baseball. We're eager to see new talent take the field and join our supportive and competitive club environment.

Online Registration Is Now Open

To ensure a seamless and efficient tryout process, we require all interested athletes to register online. Due to the expected high interest and limited slots, please be aware that we are unable to accommodate walk-on participants. By registering online, you help us maintain a fair and orderly evaluation process for everyone involved.

Tryout Dates

Tryouts will be held on two separate dates, May 17 and June 21 in Waterloo, Ontario, offering flexibility and accommodating as many athletes as possible. Athletes need only attend one of these dates. As part of the online tryout registration process, you will have the opportunity to select the date that works best for your schedule. We encourage you to register early to secure your desired slot.

Tryout Fee

A nominal, non-refundable fee of $20 accompanies the online registration, covering the operational costs associated with the tryouts. Rest assured, every aspect of the tryout—from the facility to the staff—has been carefully planned to provide an optimal environment for all athletes to demonstrate their skills.
