Reidel Commits to USC Sumter

The Ontario Nationals Baseball Club is pleased to announce that Coulson Reidel (OF) of Kitchener, ON has committed to the University of South Carolina, Sumter (NJCAA D1).

Reidel joined the Ontario Nationals program at the beginning of his 15U year. He said that he had his sights set on playing college ball and he felt that the Nationals offered a good program and it would be the best route to achieve that goal.

Reidel loves to compete; he enjoys the challenge that baseball offers, as well as the sense of camaraderie that comes with being part of a team. He is described as determined, driven, and self-motivated. He is committed to his sport and can usually be found putting in extra time in the weight room or improving his baseball skills.

USC Sumter felt like a great fit for Reidel. Upon returning from his tour there, he was impressed by the campus and the baseball facilities, particularly Riley Park, the home of the USC Sumter Fire Ants. One of the things Reidel is most looking forward to is working with the seasoned Fire Ants coaching staff. He feels he can really benefit from their knowledge, experience, and their focus on developing players for the next level of play.

Congratulations to Coulson and his family on this commitment. We look forward to following him on the next steps in his baseball journey!
