Three Nationals named to T12 roster
Right-handed pitchers Bennett Moore and Griffin Almond, as well as Tanner Almond, have cracked the Toronto Blue Jays Tournament 12 roster. All three players from the 18U club will be present at the Rogers Centre in mid-September as the top high school baseball players across the country assemble for one of the biggest events on the Canadian amateur baseball calendar.
The event gets underway Tuesday, September 17th and concludes on the Saturday with an All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. In previous years the tournament would be divided up by regions but they are currently shift to a new format which sees the 150 players divided evenly amongst six teams.
That means Tanner could find himself stepping into the box against his older brother Griffin or his teammate Bennett.
We will provide updates on social media throughout the entire week from the Rogers Centre.
